Can a Foot Massage Induce Labor?

    in Pregnancy & Childbirth

There is a special sort of misery that accompanies the last days of pregnancy for many women. For me, I am tired, bloated, it feels like my belly is going to escape through my vagina, and I am getting to the point that I can't tell the difference between my son kicking and a contraction. I have been trying everything to evict my son. I have eaten disgusting black licorice, soaked in hot baths, walked for miles, and my next thing I am thinking of trying is acupressure foot massages. I will admit I loved the idea of acupressure the best, and at 38 weeks and four days, my son is still being shy. But, seriously, can a foot massage induce labor or does it just feel really nice on the feet when your exhausted from walking all the miles?

    What is your thoughts?
